In May 2024 the Mental Health Goals Programme invested in DATAMIND — the UK Hub for Mental Health Informatics Research Development. DATAMIND brings together data services, tools and expertise for mental health research across the four nations, working with the NHS, universities, charities, research institutes and industry.
Who leads it
DATAMIND is led by Co-Directors Professor Ann John of Swansea University and Professor Rob Stewart of King’s College London, who between them cover population health data science and clinical informatics.
How it connects to the Data Observatory
MHG’s Data Observatory is delivered with DATAMIND: an industry-facing layer over UK-wide data assets that answers feasibility and protocol-design questions — site selection, recruitment planning, AI-driven analytics — inside secure data environments, without moving patient data.
