Accessibility statement

Our commitment

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That means, for example, that you should be able to:

• navigate the whole site using only a keyboard
• zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
• listen to the site using a screen reader
• understand every image through its text alternative

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, in line with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Conformance status

This website was last self-assessed on 21 August 2026 against WCAG 2.2 level AA, using automated testing (axe-core) of every page in both light and dark colour schemes together with manual keyboard-navigation checks. No failures were found in the site’s web pages. The automated checks run whenever the site’s code changes, using test content; pages edited in the content management system, and PDF documents, are checked by hand. Some PDF documents published in October 2026 do not fully meet the standard; they are listed under “Non-accessible content”. Automated and keyboard testing cannot detect every barrier, so we treat this as a partial assessment: a fuller evaluation, including screen-reader testing, is planned, and we will update this statement as it develops.

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

The slide presentations from the Industry Engagement Forum launch meeting on 8 October 2026 are published as PDF files made from the speakers’ own slides. All but one have no tagged structure, so assistive technology may not read them in a meaningful order (WCAG 2.2 success criteria 1.3.1 and 1.3.2), and their images, charts and diagrams have no text alternatives (success criterion 1.1.1). The IQVIA presentation is tagged, but some of its images have no text alternative. Each presentation’s title, speaker and organisation are given as text on the Industry Engagement Forum page.

If you need one of these presentations in a different format, contact us as described under “Feedback and contact” below, telling us the format you need and the assistive technology you use. We will ask speakers for accessible versions and replace the files as we receive them, and we will review these documents by 31 January 2027.
