Mental Health GoalsUK-wide Programme

A single front door to UK mental health research

For CROs, pharmaceutical companies, biotech and digital health innovators — of every size.

The Alliance Management Team

The Alliance Management Team

Rather than relying on individual contacts and historical relationships, the Alliance Management Team (AMT) gives industry a clear UK-wide route into mental health research. It is a wrap-around service: linking companies with methodology expertise in trial design and delivery, the lived experience industry partnership, bespoke IP and royalty strategies, funding applications, and milestone and advisory board development.

The team supports industry across the full spectrum of mental health diagnoses and psychiatric symptoms — including those experienced in neurological and neurodegenerative disorders and at the physical–mental health interface — and coordinates with the NIHR Innovation Service and the MRC Mental Health Platform to avoid duplication.

To talk to the team about a study, a partnership or the UK landscape, email DIGIT-MHG@kcl.ac.uk.

DIGIT Capabilities Database

A developing discovery tool for UK mental health research cohorts and capabilities, including available data types, clinical characterisation and participant recontact information. Coverage is being expanded and records validated with cohort owners. The database contains information about research assets; it does not hold participant-level research data or grant access to it.

Recruitment Simulator

In development with the DATAMIND Observatory, the simulator is intended to help researchers explore potential recruitment and study feasibility before costly commitments. The work will draw on the Observatory’s computational infrastructure and governance frameworks. Contact the Alliance Management Team to discuss your requirements and current progress.

Industry Engagement Forum

Launching 8 October 2026.

The MHG Industry Engagement Forum enables industry partners to shape programme priorities and co-design new initiatives through workshops and bespoke engagement. Members gain early access to emerging data and digital tools, rapid support from the Alliance Management Team, and opportunities to collaborate with leading organisations across pharma, biotech, diagnostics and digital health. Together, we aim to accelerate innovation and improve outcomes for people with mental ill health.

Applications to join the ongoing forum will open in mid-October 2026. Registration for the 8 October launch meeting is separate.
